100 Days to COP28
Today marks just 100 days until the world climate summit, this year in Dubai. Will Big Energy be at the table? And the bond market's climate timebomb is ticking louder.

Marking the event, the world’s warmer-than-ever-recorded oceans fed a storm that left Hollywood and Las Vegas under water. Maybe that’ll convince Apple to greenlight Extrapolations series 2. Then again, as Andrew Freedman of Axios reported, it’s just a preview of summers to come.
Expect to see debates begin to kick into high gear on climate finance, biodiversity, the role of oil & gas in the conversation, and of course the nexus between COP President-Designate Sultan al-Jaber and his many roles - CEO Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) CEO, Chairman of Masdar (the renewables developer owned by the emirate’s Sovereign Wealth Fund).
